Smothered and covered are how I order my hash browns at Waffle House. Smokeless is the way I like the environment. Unfortunately, Tennessee has not outlawed smoking in restaurants. You may travel South through Georgia and Florida and enjoy a totally smokeless atmosphere in all restaurants.
Waffle House has definitely improved their atmosphere though. They have designed their buildings with the smoking area on the far side of the restaurant and it is very well exhausted. Nonsmokers dining on the opposite end only occasionally catch a whiff of the smoke created as some patrons feed their nascent cancers.
Secondhand smoke is a Class A carcinogen and no level of exposure to a class A Carcinogen is safe.
Waffle House has recently published a new menu. And to my utter amazement the prices have dropped. It is very rare to see prices decrease on a menu. Their new menu features whole grain and pecan waffles, my favorite!
